Our vision is to provide a safe, inclusive and high-quality learning environment where all pupils can achieve their full potential academically, socially and emotionally. We want everyone in our Brierley community to feel nurtured so that they have the confidence to aspire, the belief that they can succeed and the opportunities they need to achieve.
Our Values
Nurture
We want every child to feel safe, happy, valued and included.
Strong relationships are at the heart of our school. We take time to know our children well, understand their individual strengths and needs, and provide the support they need to flourish. Nurture is not something that happens in one room or at one particular time. It is reflected in our classrooms, our corridors, our playground and in the way we speak to and care for one another every day.
Aspire
We encourage our children to aim high, be curious and recognise the possibilities ahead of them.Through an ambitious and engaging curriculum, high expectations and a wide range of experiences, we want children to develop a love of learning and discover their own talents and interests. We want our pupils to aspire to be learners, leaders and confident members of their community.
Believe
We want every child to believe in themselves and in what they can achieve. We help children develop confidence, independence and resilience so that they are willing to challenge themselves, learn from mistakes and keep going when things are difficult. We believe in every child and maintain high expectations for all, while providing the support and adaptations children need to be successful.
Achieve
We want every child to achieve their very best. Achievement means strong academic outcomes, but it is also about developing the knowledge, skills, confidence and character children need for their future. We want children to leave Brierley well prepared for the next stage of their education as confident, resilient, respectful and independent young people.
