As Headteacher, I am very proud of our school and our Nursery, it is a privilege to be part of such a fantastic community. The staff at this school work extremely hard to provide the children with fantastic learning opportunities which will help them reach their potential. All the staff at Brierley make a difference.

Miss Latham - Reception Teacher

Hi, my name Miss Latham and I'm excited to have joined the teaching team in Reception.  I have been teaching for 8+ years, predominantly in EYFS and KS1, and I love helping our EYFS children build those great foundations for learning.

Miss Dunn - Nursery Teacher

My name is Miss Dunn. I have been teaching for 1 year and this is my second year at Brierley. I have just got back from a year of travelling in Australia, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam and Singapore – it was amazing! Some highlights for me were, swimming with Whale Sharks, sky diving over the Great Barrier Reef and teaching in a school in Vietnam. One of my favourite stories to read is Aliens Love Underpants and my favourite nursey rhyme is 5 Little Ducks.

Miss McGinley - Teaching Assistant

My name is Miss McGinley.  I am a Teaching Assistant here at Brierley.  I have worked at Brierley for 4 years now and have loved every second of it.  In my spare time I like going on long walks with my dog, Dudley, and spending the rest of my time with my family and friends. 

 Mrs Chapman - Teaching Assistant

My name is Mrs Chapman and I am a Teaching Assistant here at Brierley.  I work alongside the staff in our Nursery but I have worked with other year groups throughout the school.

Outside of school, I spend my time looking after my three daughters.  I also enjoy baking and knitting in my free time.

Miss Smith - Teaching Assistant

My name is Miss Smith and I am a Teaching Assistant here at Brierley. I have been working at Brierley for over 16 years. My children also attended Brierley so I feel it’s always been part of a family to me. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, going for meals out and watching films.

 Miss Bradshaw - Teaching Assistant

My name is Miss Bradshaw.  I have worked in education, specifically Early Years, for 7 years now.  I have a Level 6 qualification in education.  This is my second year here at Brierley and I have loved every minute of watching the children grow and learn.  In my free time I enjoy spending time with my two dogs, they are called Oscar and Bailey.

Miss Baker – School Administration Assistant

I deal with all the Little Bears' paperwork. I am the person on the other end of the phone when you ring the school. I know that starting nursery can be a worrying time for parents and we all do what we can to make sure that both children and parents settle in as quickly as possible.

I have two children who keep me busy and at home we have two rabbits. My favourite part of my job is when it is leading up to Christmas and we have lots of things going on for the children, such as visiting the panto, Christmas plays and Christmas parties, the children get so excited which is lovely to see.
